La Biscuiterie Lolmede opened its doors in 1889 in Angoulême. Macaroons of La Biscuiterie Lolmede are a part of Angoulême’s gastronomic wealth, inescapable for every visitor of the city. Prefecture of the Charente, Angoulême is a surprising city by its history, its diversity, and the number of festivals received within its ramparts. A fortified city, Angoulême opened its doors to numerous crowned heads of state and historic figures, uncluding the likes of Ravaillac.

At the moment, Angoulème is essentially known for its international festival of the BD and for its spring festival Musique Métisse.

Angoulême is part of Poitou-Charente region, so rich in history, in monuments and picturesque villages and in ceramic products. Indeed, illustrious ambassadors left their stamp in the history of the region: Charles Martel, Aliénor d’Aquitaine, François Ier, Richelieu, Rabelais … We often find charming and luxurious old memorials hidden in small picturesque villages. Poitou-Charente is also a region rich in nature, where we can link the pleasures of bathing on the beaches of Royan, l’Ile d’Oléron or l’Ile de Ré Ré, and walks in the green, lush countryside.
